Laura Accerboni

… ranks among the most interesting voices in contemporary Italian verse. With a photographer ˈs eye, photography being her other profession with works on display in many solo and group exhibitions, Accerboni dissects human behavior in her poetry. Her widely celebrated debut, entitled ›Attorno a ciò che non è stato‹, received numerous awards and amazed her audience with its exceptional sound as well as its unique aesthetic approach. Her debut was followed by ›La parte dell’annegato‹ in 2015. The poems collected in that volume present a bizarre and disturbing inventory of everyday phenomena, violence, and sadism. Alongside her work as poet and photographer, she also edits the literary magazine ›Steve‹.
