Han Lynn

… he is considered to be one of the most interesting voices among younger Burmese poets. His poetry marked by highly reflective and at the same time verbally sensual artistry. It negotiates the various moments of upheaval in his homeland, but also the impermanence and fragility of human relationships. Lynn works across borders with other Burmese poets and artists. He has also developed numerous projects together with visual artists from the region. In 2014, he was invited to the ›LitFest International Literature Festival‹ in Harare, Zimbabwe, and was ›Poet-in-Residence‹ at Sylt-Foundation in Johannesburg, South Africa. Lynn, who also works as a translator and in advertising writing, is the co-editor of the online magazine, ›Be Untexed‹, which has been launched as a platform for new forms of writing and visual art. Three volumes of poetry bear his name, most recently ›Para‹ (2015).
